Privacy Policy

If you sign up or contact us, we get your email address. That's basically it. We're not asking for your social security number, your mother's maiden name, or your crypto seed phrase. Please don't send us those.

Standard web stuff — browser type, pages visited, time spent, referring URL. This comes via cookies and analytics tools. Nothing that identifies you personally, just aggregate patterns so we know people are actually using the app and not just us refreshing it.

When you run a report, we see the ticker you searched. We use this in aggregate to understand which stocks people care about. We are not building a dossier on your portfolio. We don't know if you actually bought anything.

We use your data to serve you reports, remember your preferences, and keep the terminal working. Revolutionary concept, we know.

Aggregate usage data helps us figure out what's working and what's confusing. If everyone's bouncing off the same page, that's a hint.

If you gave us your email, we might send you product updates or feature announcements. Every email has an unsubscribe link. We will not spam you. We also hate spam.

We are not in the business of selling your personal information to third parties. We're building a stock analysis tool, not a data brokerage. Those are very different businesses and we're only interested in one of them.

Session cookies, authentication tokens — these keep you logged in and the app functioning. You can't really opt out of these without the app breaking, so heads up.

We use analytics tools (like Plausible or similar privacy-respecting options) to understand traffic patterns. These don't track you across the web. They just tell us 'someone visited the methodology page today.' Very chill.

We don't run ads. We don't have ad partners dropping tracking pixels on you. No Meta Pixel. No Google Ads remarketing. You won't see BanterIQ ads following you around Instagram after this. You're welcome.

Stock data comes from Financial Modeling Prep. When you run a report, a request goes to their API with the ticker symbol you searched. No personal data leaves our system for this. They just get 'someone wants data on NVDA.'

Our analyst note and Group Chat mode are powered by AI APIs (Google Gemini). The prompt we send includes the ticker and financial metrics — not your name, email, or anything identifying. Standard API stuff.

We use standard cloud infrastructure. Your data lives on servers that have appropriate security measures. We're not storing your email in a Google Sheet. Probably.

You can ask us what data we have on you and request corrections if something's wrong. Email us and we'll sort it out like adults.

You can ask us to delete your account and associated data. We'll do it. We won't cry about it (much).

Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click, done. We won't make you fill out a form and wait 30 days like some companies we won't name.

If you're in the EU or California, you have additional rights under GDPR and CCPA respectively. We respect those. Contact us if you want to exercise them and we'll handle it properly.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep certain records (tax stuff, that sort of thing).

Aggregate, anonymised analytics data (no personal identifiers) may be retained longer for product improvement purposes. This is just numbers — 'X people searched TSLA in April.' Not you specifically.
